How To-Origami Finger Puppets
Jason created a set of instructions in order to teach his peers how to create origami finger puppets. The 5th graders enjoyed the challenge, and Jason was unbelievably patient and helpful! Thank you Jason!
Reading and Writing Workshop
Yesterday we began our Reader's and Writer's Workshop. The 4th and 5th graders will use this time to practice word study, partner read articles that are relevant to our project, reflect on and write about texts, and also catch up on other project work they have been developing. This workshop model ensures that each child is working on tasks specifically catered to fit their needs and interests. Teachers will also pull small groups at this time to work on reading and writing strategies. They had lots of fun with the new routine yesterday, and look forward to continuing throughout the year!

John's Hopkins
After the interviews, the children and graduate students collaborated on a piece of art. The artwork was meant to portray their dream school. The pieces contained a hand print of a child and a hand print of the adult(s) they worked with. After 3 weeks of collaborating. The groups got together, shared, and enjoyed some dinner! Enjoy the pictures and video clip of our experience!
